Today we have been mega productive, seeing three apartments that were actually livable, didn't smell of curry, and had running water and everything! Progress!
Actually applying for an apartment here is a lot more complicated than at home though, you cant just turn up and be like "yes I'll have that please!" Oh no, there are massive forms to be filled out, employment to be checked, and bills and references to be handed in. Just bumps in the road, to be sure :)
We finally had our first proper ice coffe today, with ice cream... just to keep our morals up. When it is 31 degrees outside, it just has to be done.
Doesn't look too bad, does it? :) So tomorrow is going to be even hotter, around 34 degrees, so we are getting up early to hand in our applications, and then heading of to the beach to work on our whiteness. We got some factor 30 sunscreen today, which is like putting white paint on your body, but its better to be safe than sorry... even if it involves half an hour of rubbing in suncreen so you dont look like a zombie.
Oh, and we rescued a dog this morning. The cutest dog. Will post pictures tomorrow, because now its bedtime all around. Had my first walk by the Yarra river today too, and almost didn't get lost. Loving the heat!
